How do I scan a book?

Tap the camera icon on the bottom bar, point at a page, and capture it. You can scan multiple pages in a row, then tap Done to create a book in your library. Tap Play to start listening immediately.

What is the difference between iOS voices and premium voices?

iOS voices run on your device and are completely free to use. Premium voices use cloud AI synthesis for natural-sounding narration and require an active subscription with credits.

How does voice cloning work?

Open Voice Setup, record a short sample of your voice (about 30 seconds), and we create a personal voice model linked to your account. You can then use this voice to narrate any book in your library.

What is Voice Design?

Describe a voice in plain English — for example "deep, warm, slightly raspy, British accent, calm pace" — and LitVoice generates a unique voice profile that is yours alone.

What is Instruct or Reading Style?

Instruct lets you tell the voice how to read — "like a bedtime story", "energetic and fast", "mysterious whisper". The AI adapts tone and pacing in real time. Available with cloud voices only.

How do credits work?

Credits are used when you listen with a cloud voice (premium, cloned, or designed). Each subscription tier includes a monthly amount of credits. iOS voices do not consume credits.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select LitVoice. You can cancel anytime — your premium features will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Can I use LitVoice without an account?

Yes. Tap "Continue as guest" on the sign-in screen. Your library will be saved locally on your device. To sync across devices or use premium features, you will need to sign in.

Can I import a PDF or EPUB?

You can paste any text directly, drop a URL to a webpage or article, or scan paper pages with your camera. Native PDF and EPUB import is on our roadmap.

How do I delete my account or data?

Email us at emodocinc@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. We will delete your account and all associated cloud data within 7 days.

The app crashed or behaves strangely. What should I do?

Try restarting the app. If the issue persists, please email us with your iPhone model, iOS version, and a brief description of what you were doing. Screenshots are very helpful.
