Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information LitVoice collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using LitVoice, you agree to the practices described below.
When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive a unique identifier and, depending on the method, your email address and display name. You may also use LitVoice as a guest, in which case no account information is collected.
LitVoice processes text, images of book pages, and URLs that you choose to add to the app. This content is used only to generate audio playback and to populate your personal library.
If you choose to use the voice cloning feature, you record a short audio sample. This sample is sent to our voice synthesis provider to create a personal voice model used exclusively for your account.
We collect anonymized data about how the app is used (features opened, errors encountered, session length) to improve performance and stability. This data does not personally identify you.
Subscription and purchase information is handled by Apple and our subscription management provider. We receive your subscription status and entitlements but do not see your payment details.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train general-purpose AI models.
iOS system voices run entirely on your device. No text or audio is sent to our servers when you use a system voice.
When you use a premium AI narrator, voice clone, or designed voice, the text you want to synthesize is sent over a secure connection to our voice synthesis provider. The audio is generated and returned to your device. Text submissions are not retained by us beyond the time required to deliver playback.
Voice samples you record for cloning are transmitted to the synthesis provider to build a voice model linked to your account. You may delete cloned voices at any time from the app, which removes the associated voice model from the provider.
Text prompts used to design new voices are sent to the synthesis provider and used to generate a unique voice profile linked to your account.
LitVoice uses trusted third-party services to provide authentication, subscriptions, voice synthesis, and diagnostics. Each category of service processes only the data needed for its function and is bound by its own privacy practices.
We share only the minimum data needed for each service to function.
Your library, including scanned pages, text, and book metadata, is stored locally on your device. Voice models and account-linked data are stored on our providers' secure servers.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit and rely on our providers' encryption-at-rest for stored data. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure.
You can delete your account and associated cloud data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of LitVoice after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
